Four Drunk Parrots is a Great Place to Work (officially!)

As part of our mission to inspire using business as a force for good, we had a good look in the mirror and thought about what it takes to build a great workplace.

We have thought very seriously about and tinkered and pondered, all the while listening to our amazing flock of parrots.

No matter if they are working from home, the office or a remote island in Thailand, it is equally important to us to make sure everyone feels looked after.

But don’t take our word for one second. If you know the parrots, you’ll bet we got a third party to audit us on our promises and certify that we stick to our word. You’re right, mate.

So this is how we engaged with Great Place to Work.
Great Place to Work® is a national recognition program based on a rigorous methodology and validated employee feedback. Long story short, they interviewed the entire workforce and came up with what they call a company trust factor. That basically means, do our people trust that management and founders will make the best decisions, in the best interest of the environment, our communities and our people? I am glad they asked, because you don’t know what you don’t know.

Turns out, everyone at 4DP is freaking happy, if not proud to work here. Proud of the impact their work has on the community, on the environment and on others.

Receiving that feedback on the back of our recent B Corp certification makes us very happy. It demonstrates that each and every one of the parrots is backing our story, our mission and our vision.

“Working at Four Drunk Parrots feels like you’re in the right place. That you’re part of a supportive organisation that nurtures the growth and development of its people – and all of that while being in the midst of a pandemic. Absolute legends.”

Where to from here?

We hope we will make it onto the Australian Best Workplace List in 2022.
We also hope that more parrots will find their way to us over the coming months. If you are interested in working with us, please don’t hesitate to contact us on [email protected]
